Renergy Solar in Kericho, Kenya
Go back January 2022

Kericho Solar Venture

In January 2022, Renergy Solar embarked on a significant journey to Kericho, Kenya, marking a crucial step in reconnecting with our stakeholders and partners. The COVID-19 lockdown had posed challenges to travel for over two years, making this visit a crucial opportunity for reengagement.
During the trip, the Renergy management had the privilege of meeting local farmers and landowners, with whom we have secured 52 hectares of land in close proximity to the Muhoroni Substation in Kericho County. This acquisition represents a pivotal move in advancing our solar energy initiatives in the region.

Additionally, we took the time to visit some of our prospective energy offtakers, including Prime Steel Mill and RAI Cement, both immediate neighbors to our project site. These interactions provided valuable insights and strengthened the foundation for future collaborations.

Kenya's Natural Beauty

Aside from the business aspects, the team experienced the awe-inspiring beauty of Kenya. Travelling through the country was a fantastic experience, with breathtaking scenery and the occasional sighting of wild animals crossing the roads, adding a touch of nature's wonders to our journey.
